You might have noticed that we have rebranded from Thats Skimming Alright to The Plasterers Podcast The Mick and Dave Show. This change was made to help us appear more clearly in online searches. A title that includes the word plasterers makes it easier for Google to recognise what the podcast is about, helping more people in the trade find us.
We were absolutely thrilled to reach our one thousandth download on the thirteenth of November. This was a huge milestone for us. When we launched the podcast on the seventeenth of September our original goal was to reach one thousand downloads by New Years Day. For two older lads with no experience of making a podcast this felt like a big challenge. Dave then kept encouraging us to aim for an earlier date and suggested Christmas Day. You can imagine our excitement when we reached the target in just seven weeks.
Our first series From Trowel to Teacher includes six episodes that guide listeners through the full journey from working on the tools to becoming a full time lecturer. The feedback has been incredible with people telling us it feels like two mates chatting in a pub and that the conversations are honest and down to earth.
