Heatons are a family firm of plasterers who trade across the North West of Lancashire around Burnley and surrounding district.
They focus mainly on the domestic market offering both internal and external plastering work.

The firm was started by the grandfather William, often referred to as Billy. Around the end of the 1960’s, back then Plasterers would do roofing as well as Plastering, in fact the local firms would advertise Plastering and Roof work.
Billy’s son David became Billy’s apprentice and he attended Burnley college, which was unusual as smaller firms could not always afford to send their apprentices to college.

David continued to develop his skills and later took over the family firm, when David’s’ son Jamie came along it was not long before he was getting involved and by the age of twelve, he was working for his dad at weekends, he says at the time the bags of plaster were bigger than him. When Jamie left school at the age of sixteen, he was already developing plastering skills, Jamie attended Burnley College working his way through the years eventually after three years in college Jamie achieved his advanced craft qualification

Jamie along with his dad David still love working in the plastering trade where they have a reputation of delivering quality, recently they appeared in a trade magazine for Refina tools.

Jamie is passing on his knowledge and skills by taking on an apprentice.
