Lath and Plaster

A Trade Magazine for The Plastering Industry Run by Plasterers for Plasterers

A Momentous Occasion at the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers

Lath and Plaster would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to Master Plasterers Mr Keith Langden, Mr Gary Jones, and Mr Sean Wheatley on becoming Livery Men of the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers.

Established by Royal Charter in 1501, the Plaisterers’ Company is the 46th in precedence among the City of London’s livery companies and proudly retains the archaic spelling “Plaisterers”

From its first hall—bequeathed in 1556 and tragically lost in the Great Fire of 1666—through Christopher Wren’s second hall (built in 1669, destroyed in 1882), to its current grand hall opened in November 1972 in the neo-classical Robert Adam style, the Company’s legacy is one of resilience and craftsmanship

Today, the Company continues its centuries-long commitment to plastering excellence through standards, accreditation, education, and charitable works . Keith, Gary, and Sean’s elevation to Livery Men marks not just a personal milestone, but also a moment that carries forward that proud tradition.
